It was a sloppy start to "Thursday Night Football" at Arrowhead Stadium, with the Kansas City Chiefs and visiting Denver Broncos exchanging gaffes separated by only a few plays.
With five minutes left in the first quarter, Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson was the first to slip up. Wilson attempted to squeeze a throw to wideout Jerry Jeudy but had his pass picked off by a leaping Nick Bolton.

Four plays later, Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes returned the favor with a horrific decision of his own.
Facing a 3rd-and-8 from inside the Broncos red zone, with edge-rusher Nik Bonitto wrapped around his ankle, Mahomes threw toward the end zone anyway, where Broncos safety Justin Simmons was waiting.

It's certainly not how either Wilson or Mahomes wanted to start Week 6.
For Wilson, it's only his third interception of the year after being picked off 11 times in 2022. Meanwhile, it's pick No. 5 for Mahomes already. He threw only 12 all of last season.
