Miami Dolphins 2024 schedule with predictions for each game
Sergio Estrada-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Dolphins' 2024 schedule is finally here, and fans can begin to plan those weekends and road trips accordingly.

However, it's also time to start taking a look at how that schedule might play out, given we know exactly who, when, and where the Dolphins will be playing, as well as their bye week.

As such, here's a very early prediction at how the 2024 season might go for the Fins.

Week 1 vs. Jaguars

The Jags' pass rush with Josh Allen, Travon Walker, and Arik Armstead is a concern, but their secondary should allow for some big plays for Miami.  Tua outduels Trevor Lawrence to start the year off right for Miami.

1-0

Week 2 vs. Bills

At home on a Thursday night early in the season (before Miami suffers its new annual tradition of suffering debilitating injuries across their roster), I very much like Miami's chances. The Bills' wide receiver room is a who's who of mediocrity, so while Josh Allen has owned the Dolphins, his weapons are seriously more limited this year in the passing game.

2-0

Week 3 at Seahawks

Some might tag this as a loss for the Dolphins based on the sheer travel distance - the largest in the league - but the game is played on the field and not in the air travel.  Miami's passing game will have a field day on the Quest Field turf, and Seattle won't quite be able to keep up.

3-0

Week 4 vs. Titans

You'd better believe the Dolphins will be locked in for 60 minutes after playing only 55 last year and blowing a 14-point lead at the wire. This should be a game the team has circled very far in advance.

4-0

Week 5 at Patriots

A rookie head coach and quarterback means serious growing pains for the Patriots. The Dolphins should have their way with New England here irrespective of the game being in Foxboro.

5-0

Week 6: BYE

Week 7: at Colts

This game could end up being a lot tougher than Dolphins fans think, particularly if the Colts can control the game on the ground.  However, if it turns into a shootout, Indy can't keep up.  I think it's hard not to with the Dolphins' weapons.

6-0

Week 8 vs. Cardinals

The Cardinals should be a team the eventually puts it together, as they have some nice pieces especially after taking Marvin Harrison, Jr. in the first round. It's just not enough to top Miami at home this year.

7-0

Week 9 at Bills

It's not likely the Fins will be playing in a snowstorm in Buffalo on November 3, so the Dolphins might have caught a slight bit of a break there.  However, Allen and the Bills will find a bit of revenge for an early season loss in the Dolphins' personal house of horrors.

7-1

Week 10 at LA Rams

This is a very difficult game to predict.  The Stafford connection with Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua has become a volatile one, but the Dolphins should be able to get theirs against a Rams defense that's retooling to some degree and saw the retirement of Aaron Donald.  Fins escape in a close one.

8-1

Week 11 vs. Raiders

The Dolphins struggled to put away the Raiders at Hard Rock Stadium last year, hanging on the fourth quarter to win.  I think Miami will have an easier time this year even with former Miami star Christian Wilkins on the other sideline.

9-1

Week 12 vs. Patriots

Drake Maye should have settled into the job by now, but the Pats won't have gained any weapons over that time on offense to be able to keep up with Miami.  Miami rolls the Pats again, this time at Hard Rock Stadium.  However, the schedule is about to take a turn for the worse.

10-1

Week 13 at Packers

Lambeau Field on a chilly Thanksgiving night against a Packers team that has the offensive firepower to keep pace with Miami is a bad recipe.  The Packers have their way with Miami's defense, and Miami can't quite stay within reach in the second half.  A forgettable game.

10-2

Week 14 vs. Jets

Vegas and the networks love the Jets this year, it seems, based on the win total and the number of primetime games the Jets got.  However, Rodgers won't quite be able to get it done, as the Dolphins' defense hangs on late to secure a win over New York at home.

11-2

Week 15 at Texans

The Texans are a scary-good offense, as C.J. Stroud looks like a legit star in the making.  With Stefon Diggs, Tank Dell, Noah Brown, Joe Mixon, and Dalton Schultz, it's hard to see how to stop that offense.  Miami engages in a fun shootout, but a late Houston drive steals the win.

11-3

Week 16 vs. 49ers

I just don't like how the Dolphins match up on the lines with the physically imposing Niners.  Miami didn't do enough to get better in the trenches this offseason in my humble opinion, and that will be exposed with San Francisco's lines.

11-4

Week 17 at Browns

A frigid matchup against one of the most physical teams in the league with one of the most grinding rushing attacks is a terrible matchup for the Dolphins.  The Browns bully the Fins in a game that looks like Miami doesn't want to even be there.  Because, truthfully, they probably don't

11-5

Week 18 at Jets

This one could be for a whole lot of marbles for the Dolphins after yet another late season slide.  This time they go up to East Rutherford and find a way to topple the Jets one more time to get to a record they couldn't quite reach last year, clinching their first division title in 16 years in the process.

12-5
