Michigan Wolverines Add 2 Wide Receivers Out of the Portal

CJ Charleston a 6-foot and 190lbs WR, heads to the Wolverines after spending 5 seasons with the Penguins. Charleston comes in as a graduate transfer,  and while at Youngstown redshirted for 2 years, 1 being a medical redshirt year. Last year for the Penguins CJ had 33 receptions for 503 yards and 4 touchdowns with an average of 15.2 yards per catch. CJ will add not only depth but experience to the young WR room and will be expected to contribute right away.

Amorion Walker is headed back to Ann Arbor after transferring out back in January.  The 6-foot-3-inch, 180lbs WR/DB competed for a starting role last season on defense, but sustained an injury in fall camp that ultimately cost him playing time.  Most believe Moore was able to get Walker to come back because he wants to play on the offensive side of the ball, with the lack of WR depth it became a great landing spot.  Walker with his speed and size will compete for a starting spot right off the hop, he will give Michigan a deep threat along with a big body WR to throw to in the red zone.

Michigan's coaches will now look to add depth at the Linebackers and Secondary positions on the roster.  Moore might even be looking for another quarterback to bring in but that becomes more unlikely by the day due to how late it's getting in the process.  Moore has only been able to land 1 high school player commitment since taking over as head coach.  Moore and staff need to hit the recruiting trail hard these next few months to improve on their 17th-ranked class according to On3 team Industry rankings.
